Not my will but Thine be done.
Finish that Thou hast begun. "Oh, Lord, I yield to Thy design All that I am, for I am Thine. Help me show love and work no ill. Lord, I desire to do Thy will. By grace, I'll dry the children's tears, Give them Thy comfort, calm their fears. I serve in love; my all I give. I die to self; in Thee I live. I fight the fight; I run the race. The good I do is all Thy grace. While here, I will trust and obey And walk with Thee the narrow way." And so the wise man lives his creed For Christ, his souls most vital need. Not my will but Thine be done. Finish that Thou hast begun. On that great last accounting day, The wise will find no debt to pay. For him Christ paid sin's dreadful cost Upon a cruel wooden cross. The wise will be forever blessed, At home with Christ, in peace and rest. (Matthew 26:39; Galatians 6:7-9; Titus 1:2) |
