Forgive me as I wallow
In pity for myself.
You see, it seems that others
Have put me on the shelf.

Perhaps they think Im sickly
Or maybe just a bore.
Whatever is the reason,
Im easy to ignore.

Must I live with this image
That others think they see,
Or will I make the effort
To be what I can be?

I dare not look to others
Nor credit what they see.
I must trust in Gods vision,
The plan He has for me.

To wallow in self-pity
Is nothing but a sin.
For God, the One Who made me,
Enables me to win.
