The loss you feel is hard to bear.
There is no one who seems to care
That grief and sorrow hold you fast,
A prisoner in the painful past.
You are alone; you mourn and weep.
If all your friends would only keep
Their promises to help, to share,
Your sorrow and the grief you bear,
But no one wishes to stand by
And hold your hand and let you cry.
Still there is One Who even yet
Will stay with you and not forget
How much you need Him, how you long
For His comfort that will make you strong.
Oh, yes, Christ knows the pain you feel,
And He alone has power to heal.
He says, "Ill not abandon you.
Theres pain ahead, but well pass through.
Dont look for help where none is found,
But seek where strength and grace abound.
When friends and loved ones fail to see
The hurt you bear, then come to Me.
Ill hold you close; Ill calm your fears.
Ill comfort you and dry your tears."
The promise that He makes is sure.
Theres strength in Him that will endure.
Now, though your eyes with tears are dim,
Arise in faith and look to Him.
