With His infinite care, He pulled blue from the skies;
Then He fashioned and tinted two beautiful eyes.
After molding the form of a sweet little face,
He constructed the features and put all in place.

With great patience He worked, and with measureless care,
He chose hues of sun-gold to tint each strand of hair.
Then with intimate artistry, intricate skill,
He completed the child by His sovereign will.

From the depth of His Spirit, He fashioned the soul,
And breathed life to the body to make the child whole.
With the joy of His Spirit, He crafted a smile
To illumine the face of this beautiful child.

The potential of all that this child is to be,
The things he will learn and the sights he will see,
All the lessons of life that this dear child must face
Are entrusted to parents to teach by God's grace.
