THE WALK WITH THE MASTER

line

The Master said, "Come walk with Me."
With joy, I took His outstretched Hand.
But when I saw the path He took,
I stopped; I did not understand.

I cried, "I cannot go this way!
"I must avoid the danger here."
Still He gently led me on.
I followed, though I shook with fear.

I stumbled, weak from terror's force.
He stopped to lift and carry me.
Held close to Him, I knew true peace
Despite my pain's reality.

At last the path came to an end;
Still He held me tenderly
Until the wounds and hurts had healed.
Not once did He abandon me.

This valued lesson I have learned:
No matter what my path may be,
Delight or pain, I can walk on
As long as He is leading me.
