THE BURDEN BEARER

line

My burdens were so heavy
They seemed too much to bear.
Alone, each day I struggled;
Nobody seemed to care.

I searched for friendly faces,
But not one did I find.
My friends and my acquaintance
Had left me far behind.

Then one day at a crossroad
Someone reached down to me
And firmly seized my burdens
To bear them willingly.

He took my hand in His Hand
To lead me gently on,
To guide me on the journey,
To bear me safely Home.
